Appointment 


Please arrive at least 5 minutes prior to your appointment. 

Cancelation Policy


Your appointments are very important to the The Strand 17 team; each appointment is reserved especially for you. However we do understand that circumstances may change and booking amendments may be necessary, therefore we respectfully request 24 hours notice for cancellations.


Strict 24 hour cancellation policy


Please understand that when you forget to cancel your appointment within the 24 hour cancellation time we miss the opportunity to fill that time, therefore customers awaiting appointments miss the opportunity to receive our services. A 24 hour appointment reminder is sent via text message as we understand that appointments may have been made in advance. 


“No Shows” will be removed from the booking system. 


Online Booking Terms & Conditions


We would like to ensure that your appointment at the salon runs as smoothly as possible. Please read our booking rules and guidance so that you get the most from your visit to us.


We will contact you to discuss any alterations to your appointment. 


A 10% payment will be required upon booking online. 


Prices are intended as guide only. You will be charged for the services you receive, which may differ from the services you have booked.


Prices do not include any promotions, offers or discounts that you may be entitled to eg. Recommended Friend.


Bookings made online may need to be slightly amended to fit in with salon time slots and stylist commitments. Please ensure that we have a current contact phone number for you (preferably a mobile!)


If you are unable to find the availability that you are looking for, don't worry , just give us a ring and our Team will do their very best to find an appointment to suit your needs!


Colours 


When booking your colour, please remember to book either a Cut & Finish, or a Blow-Dry to go with it.


If you are booking for a colour service, eyelash / eyebrow tint. (you will need a skin test 48 hours before you have the full treatment. Tests are available without an appointment and are free. Failure to have a skin test may result in us being unable to carry out your treatment(s).


Colour corrections and transformations – sometimes changing your colour is easy, other times it’s more complicated. We recommend that you contact the salon for advice before making your reservation.


For a quotation for transformations or corrections please call the salon for a consultation. Alternatively we will happily offer a price over the telephone.


Special Occasions  


Call the salon to discuss hair and makeup for Special Occasions such as weddings as these request are booked unique to what you want.

Glam & Bridal Makeup T&C


1. Definitions 


Client: the recipient of the service and the name listed on the booking form. 


Makeup Artist: the person that applies the makeup, who provides the service to the client. 


The Agreement: the agreement that exists between the client and the makeup artist to provide the services for the agreed fee. 


The Fee: the amount payable by the client to the makeup artist by the agreed services. 


Makeup is applied in The Strand 17 salon within the Strand 17 Glam Room. Unfortunately, we do not travel to locations outside of the salon. The client would need to visit the Salon at 173b Thornaby Road, Stockton on Tees, TS17 8QW  T: 01642 613500. 


2. Booking Fees & Cancellations 


Glam Makeup: The booking fee is £10.00 per person for Glam Makeup to secure an appointment. The Appointment will be confirmed on receipt of the booking. The final balance is due on the appointment. If the appointment is cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice or is a no show the booking fee is non-refundable.


Gift Packages: Payments are required in full upon booking an appointment. Alternatively, there are gift cards available to purchase which provides more flexibility to the gift receiver.  


Bridal & Bridal Party Makeup: The trial session is recommended a minimum of 6 weeks prior to the event. The client would need to pay a £10.00 fee for the trial which is non-refundable if the client cancelled. 


If the client wishes to secure a date for their wedding datethe client would be expected to pay in full at the trial session (only if they wish to proceed with the final booking). If the client cancels the final booking within 14 days of the actual event, unfortunately the money will be forfeited. 


In the unlikely event the Makeup Artist cancels, as much notice will be given to the client and a refund will be provided allowing them to find an alternative. 


The Makeup Artist reserves the right to insist on a minimum bridal booking party size during busy month and Saturdays. 


3.Client Responsibilities


The client shall inform the Makeup Artist of any skin conditions, sensitivities, or allergies prior to application. All details shall we treated as confidential. The client agrees to release the makeup artist from liability for any skin complications due to allergic reactions. A sample test of a product may be performed on the skin to test a reaction. 


4. Photography 


With the clients consent, the Makeup Artist would like to take photos to increase their portfolio. These maybe used on the Makeup Artist website and social media pages. Consent for photos is obtained at the makeup consultation. The client can withdraw their consent at any time. 


5. Data Protection 


Please read the privacy policy carefully as it explains practices regarding the use of personal data collected from the client or that the client provides to the Makeup Artist and how the data will be processed. 


Information provided by the client (i.e. contact information) will be treated as confidentiality. This  data is securely stored and is in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 and in line with the principles of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). 


6. Liability 


The Makeup Artist recommends the client takes out wedding / event insurance to cover situations out of the Makeup Artists control. No compensation will be offered on the Makeup Artists part. 


The Makeup Artist (The Strand 17) has Public Liability cover and is insured. By financially securing the fee / payments the client accepts these terms and conditions.

Hair Extension Policy

Be on Time

Please arrive to your appointment on time. Any late appointments may result in having to reschedule.

Age Restrictions

The Strand 17 are unable to fit hair extensions to anyone under the age of 18.

There is no age restriction for clip in hair extensions.

Cancel 

We go to great lengths to get the best quality of hair shipped to the salon and try to provide the best service to our clients. If you decide not to have the hair fitted you must give 48 hours’ notice and can collect the hair from the salon hassle free. This will be forfeited if the required notice isn’t provided. 

Deposit


You do receive a free consultation however you must pay a £10.00 deposit to book your consultation. This money will be refunded from the price of the hair or will be refunded at your consultation if you choose not to proceed. The only reason we take a deposit is to secure your appointment slot. Unfortunately, this would be forfeited if you do not show up for your consultation.

Pricing

A full accurate quote will be provided in your free 30-minute consultation.


Pricing is subject to change without notice.


The Strand 17 may at anytime terminate or suspend any of our services or promotions without any notice.

Payment

For all new clients getting the hair extensions fitted from our salon for the first time, we will carry out a 30-minute consultation, agree on the hair colour, how many grams and which type of method etc.


The Strand 17 would then require the full balance of the hair within the consultation.

The final balance will be just for the application / fitting of the hair. The final payment will be required on the day of application / fitting. 


Because the hair is ordered bespoke to you and imported into the UK, we do not accept refunds once it has been purchased also because it is a hygienic product. If you decide you do not want to proceed with the fitting you must cancel with at least 48 hours notice and come and collect the hair from the salon. If you do not cancel within the 48 hour notice period or you do not show up for your appointment this means you will forfeit the hair. For the classic hair you will be required to pay the return postage fee, but you will receive  a refund for this product.  


We advise that the luxury hair is customised to you and could take 14 to 28 days before a fitting / appointment can be made. 


We ask clients to be aware there may be a 2-4 week wait time to book you your appointment to fit the hair because of how busy we are also.


Hair Guarantee

For anything ordered from our online boutique please refer to online shop polices.

The Strand 17 will not be held responsible for hair that has been damaged due to not following the advice and aftercare information.

COVID 19 POLICY 

The Strand 17 are 100% committed to ensuring the safety of everyone who steps into the salon and you will find us all prepared so you’re all safe and sound.


OUR PROMISE TO YOU. 

We’ll continue to follow latest official advice on everything from hygiene to self-isolation to avoid catching or spreading the virus. 


STAFF PPE. 

You’ll find us wearing face masks and visors or goggles, practicing social distancing where possible and we’ve installed safety screens where needed too.


SQUEAKY CLEAN

You’ll also find us adhering to strict hygiene protocols too with a hand sanitising station as you walk into the salon reception. All our kit and touch points will be freshly sterilised, and we’ll also be deep cleaning regularly.


ITS ALL ABOUT YOU. 

Your gown and towels will be disposable or freshly laundered – for your use only.


YOUR TIME. 

Magazines and leaflets are a thing of the past. We now have online reading material on digital mags.

KEEPING YOU HYDRATED

Regarding refreshments, we recommend you bring your own however we are providing a hot beverage in a disposable cup or water on tap. The machine is cleaned after every use and strict cleaning regime in place.


VENTILATION. 

We have a perfect air-con system to ventilate the air in and out of the salon as well as keeping the doors open when necessary.


BARRIERS. 

Screens are in place to separate clients and staff were necessary.


SIGNS ARE THERE. 

There are signs in the shop to instruct on the social distancing measures, washing hands regularly and wearing face coverings etc.


THE HEAT IS ON

Each client will have a temperature check upon arrival to the salon. Unfortunately, if you do have a temperature you will need to go home and follow the government guidance and we will get you booked in as soon as possible thereafter.

Come in by appointment-only; pre book your appointments or simply give us a buzz.


We are not accepting walk-ins currently.


RIGHT ON TIME. 

Please arrive on the dot and travel as light as you can. Please wait in the car park; one of our team will give you a holla when they are ready for you.


PAY BY CARD.  

Ideally if you can pay by card at your appointment.


COVER UP. 

Wear a face mask and use the sanitising station when you walk in the salon Reception (and again when leaving the salon) please respect social distancing where possible.

DO YOUR BIT. 

Please call to cancel if you, your family or anyone you’ve been in close contact with develops any symptoms.
